Baby Must Haves

As a first time mom, I know how overwhelming it can be trying to figure out what things you need to prepare for your baby’s arrival. There’s so many opinions to sort through, it can be hard to know what is worth it and what is truly necessary. So, today I thought I would give you all a quick run down of some of my very favorite baby products that I think are worth the money and make life easier and stress-free as a new mom so far! Let’s get into it!

Stroller - This stroller is an investment, but it has been SO worth it and we will be able to use it for a long time! It comes with a bassinet attachment as well as a toddler seat so your baby can truly use it through all stages of life. We personally used the stroller with the bassinet attachment all day for the first couple months of having a baby because it made it so easy to just push Dallas around the house while he was sleeping. The quality of materials they use for this stroller is sooo nice and very plush. Highly recommend. The wheels are smooth as well!

Car Seat - After doing lotsss of research on different car seat brands this is the one we went with!! We have absolutely loved it and love that you can get the Uppa Baby Car Seat Adapter to be able to put our car seat on the stroller!

Monitor - We originally had a monitor that just connected to our phones through wifi, but one day my phone turned off and so the monitor wasn’t showing anymore and I didn’t hear Dallas crying right away. It was traumatizing for me and I IMMEDIATELY went and bought a camera with a physical monitor so I don’t have to worry about having wifi or keeping it up on my phone. It’s given me such peace of mind.

Playmat - This playmat is Dallas’ favorite thing ever and has been so helpful for times when we need to get something done and keep him entertained. For example, when I need to take a shower, I just put Dallas on his playmat right outside the shower where I can see him and he is so happy the entire time!!

Portable Bottle Warmer - This bottle warmer is a MUST-HAVE and has been such a lifesaver for us when we are out and about and need to warm up a bottle for Dallas. It is super light and easy to use. I also bring it in my room for middle of the night feedings.

Artipope Carrier - This carrier is very pricey but after trying lots of different carriers this one has been the best and I feel like it’s 100% worth the money. It provides a ton of support so my back isn’t hurting while carrying Dallas. I know it’s an investment though, so if you’re looking for a cheaper carrier option I also love the Solly Wrap! The solly wrap is great for more skin contact - holds baby closer to the bod than the Artipoppe!

Portable Fan - This one is so important for hot summer days with baby! I have two so when one runs out of battery and is charging, I have a back up.
Coterie Diapers - out of alllll the diaper brands I have tried, these are my fave. No scent and super super soft. He likes them too hehe.

Diaper Pale - This is so necessary if you don't want dirty diapers smelling up your trash can. It seals in the odor and is a super sleek design.

Changing Mat - the first changing basket we had was sooo slippery on the surface, so we bought this one instead! It’s expensive but super durable and I KNOW this isn’t going to slide right off the dresser.

Merlin Magic Sleep Suit - ok let me tell you… it really is magic. Through allllll the sleep sacks we have been through, this one puts him to sleep the quickest and keeps him asleep the longest!

Dreamland Sleep Sack - Dallas loves this sleep sack and it’s been so helpful for getting him to sleep in his crib! Definitely my fave sleep sack to put him in. The weight added to the sack makes him feel secure (code TAYCHAYY saves you $$)

Bathtub Support - This has been great for bathtime! We just put him in our normal bathtub (i typically go in there with him lol) with this and he does great!

Muslin Cloths - You will definitely want to get a bunch of these! They are so helpful for spit up and other random messes throughout the day. They are also made of muslin, so they will get softer as you wash them!

These are my absolute must-have baby items, but if you are looking for more recommendations on everyday baby related products, you can head over to my Nursery Essentials blog for even more info! I hope this helps any soon-to-be mamas out there get a better idea of the essentials and what products to invest your money in!

Until next time.

XOXO, TAY
