Home Gym Tour
A full look of the space plus details on all of our equipment
I began my fitness journey at just 13 years old, and ever since then it has been a dream of mine to have a full home gym. So, when Steve and I started building our forever home two and a half years ago, the gym was the room we were looking forward to completing the most…and we are so happy with how it turned out!! Almost all of the equipment (outside of my climber) is from Rep Fitness and they were absolutely AMAZING to work with during this build out. So, if you are looking to build out a gym of your own or want to update your equipment, I highly recommend working with rep! Now let’s get into all the details on this space!
(see the full transition here!)
Dumbbells - We got a full set of dumbbells from 5 lbs to 100 lbs, but they have different sized sets available so you can just purchase whichever sizes will be best for you.
Dumbbell rack - The dumbbell racks are sold separately! Definitely an important piece to keep your home gym organized! We went with matte black.
Squat Rack - We got the Ares Attachment Series 5000 squat rack and it is amazingggg. It is a squat rack, pull up bar, cable machine and more all in one machine! It’s a really great option if you have a smaller space and can’t fit a ton of equipment in. You can customize any of their racks depending on what size, equipment, etc. you are looking for. We did matte black for the full rack as well.
Kettlebells - We have a about five different sized kettlebells for our gym.
Medicine Balls - We have a 6, 14 and 24 lb medicine ball!
Boxes - These are great for box jumps, hip thrusts, step ups and so much more! I definitely recommend getting at least one for you home gym.
Battle Ropes - We have the black ropes! If you don’t have an anchor for them, you can use a really heavy weight to keep them in place.
Benches - For benches we have one flat bench and one adjustable bench! Both have been great, but definitely recommend getting an adjustable one if you are only getting one bench so you can use it for more things!
Flooring - This flooring is really great quality and it’s textured on the bottom so doesn’t slip around at all.
Versa climber - We got this climber in our old house, but when we moved into my parents house we had to put it in storage and then I had Dallas and wasn’t able to use it for a while. But I am FINALLY able to get back on the climber and I have missed it so so much! It’s such a great form of cardio and I have so much fun making up my own choreography.
That is all of our major equipment! Here is a quick list of some of our smaller pieces of equipment/accessories:
Barbell Plates
That’s everything! And at the end of the day you really don’t need ALL of this equipment to get a good workout in. You really just need a couple sets up dumbbells, some bands and you are good to go!Seeing this gym come to life has truly been a dream come true! It’s also just so convenient as a new mom to have a gym in our house so I can get a quick workout in while Dallas is sleeping or even workout with Dallas there. Home gyms for the win!
Until Next Time,
XOXO, TAY
P.S. If you enjoy my EMOM workouts, you can purchase my 8 week EMOM 4 Life Guide! If you’ve been following me for a while now you might already have seen or purchased this guide, but these workouts are still just as effective and include movements I still implement in my everyday workouts! I highly recommend trying it out if you are looking for a quick and effective workout that you can easily do at home OR in the gym.
